CVE-2023-53287 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-03 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: cdns3: Put the cdns set active part outside the spin lock The device may be scheduled during the resume process, so this cannot appear in atomic operations. Since pm_runtime_set_active will resume suppliers, put set active outside the spin lock, which is only used to protect the struct cdns data structure, otherwise the kernel will report the following warning: BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at drivers/base/power/runtime.c:1163 in_atomic(): 1, irqs_disabled(): 0, non_block: 0, pid: 651, name: sh preempt_count: 1, expected: 0 RCU nest depth: 0, expected: 0 CPU: 0 PID: 651 Comm: sh Tainted: G WC 6.1.20 #1 Hardware name: Freescale i.MX8QM MEK (DT) Call trace: dump_backtrace.part.0+0xe0/0xf0 show_stack+0x18/0x30 dump_stack_lvl+0x64/0x80 dump_stack+0x1c/0x38 __might_resched+0x1fc/0x240 __might_sleep+0x68/0xc0 __pm_runtime_resume+0x9c/0xe0 rpm_get_suppliers+0x68/0x1b0 __pm_runtime_set_status+0x298/0x560 cdns_resume+0xb0/0x1c0 cdns3_controller_resume.isra.0+0x1e0/0x250 cdns3_plat_resume+0x28/0x40
CVE-2023-53291 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-03 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rcu/rcuscale: Stop kfree_scale_thread thread(s) after unloading rcuscale Running the 'kfree_rcu_test' test case [1] results in a splat [2]. The root cause is the kfree_scale_thread thread(s) continue running after unloading the rcuscale module. This commit fixes that isue by invoking kfree_scale_cleanup() from rcu_scale_cleanup() when removing the rcuscale module. This is because that on load balance if the dst_cpu is not allowed by the task, we'll re-select a new_dst_cpu as a candidate. If no task can be balanced to dst_cpu we'll try to balance the task to the new_dst_cpu instead. In this case when the migration disabled task is not on CPU it only allows to run on its current CPU, load balance will select its current CPU as new_dst_cpu and later triggers the warning above. The new_dst_cpu is chosen from the env->dst_grpmask. Currently it contains CPUs in sched_group_span() and if we have overlapped groups it's possible to run into this case. This patch makes env->dst_grpmask of group_balance_mask() which exclude any CPUs from the busiest group and solve the issue. For balancing in a domain with no overlapped groups the behaviour keeps same as before.

CVE-2023-53218 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-03 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Make it so that a waiting process can be aborted When sendmsg() creates an rxrpc call, it queues it to wait for a connection and channel to be assigned and then waits before it can start shovelling data as the encrypted DATA packet content includes a summary of the connection parameters. However, sendmsg() may get interrupted before a connection gets assigned and further sendmsg() calls will fail with EBUSY until an assignment is made. Fix this so that the call can at least be aborted without failing on EBUSY. We have to be careful here as sendmsg() mustn't be allowed to start the call timer if the call doesn't yet have a connection assigned as an oops may follow shortly thereafter.
